The factory became one of the three main electric motor manufacturers in the “Big Northwest” under the national planned economy system, and it was designated as the supplier of tank motors by the Ministry of First Machinery Industry. The factory contributed significantly to the national economy during both the planned and market economies.

• Xi'an Simo Electric Motor has developed into a large high-tech enterprise with 6,000 employees. It is one of the largest manufacturers of medium and large AC/DC motors and high/low voltage electric motors in China. The company integrates motor design and manufacturing, electrical control, mechanical processing, mold production, casting, transportation, and other automation and complete systems to provide comprehensive power solutions.
