A specially formulated electrolyte is connected in series as a resistance within the rotor circuit of the controlled wound motor. By adjusting the concentration of the electrolyte and altering the distance between the two polar plates, the value of the series resistance constantly meets the requirements of the motor's mechanical characteristics for the series resistance value during the starting process. As a result, the motor can increase its speed evenly and start smoothly while achieving the maximum starting torque and the minimum starting current. Once the starting process is completed, the electrical switch shorts the rotor circuit.
